John L. Dawson Clinical Society.

The John L. Dawson Clinical Society was established in 1915 by students of the Medical College of the State of South Carolina in honor of John Lawrence Dawson, professor emeritus of the Medical College of the State of South Carolina. The active membership of the Society was composed of "men in good standing from the Senior, Junior, and Sophomore classes of the School of Medicine." Two meetings were held each month during the academic year at which the business of the Society was conducted, including the presentation of papers on medical subjects and case histories by members of the Society.
