Born 1865; married Robert Savage and had two daughters, Elizabeth and Josephine, and a son, Charles. Chase published stories in St. Nicholas, Life, and American Magazine ; and several books including Three Freshmen, May Ken, A Study of English Word s, and A Day of the Revolution (under the names Jessie Anderson Chase and Jessie Macmillan Anderson). She was also a member of the Women's Club of Newburyport, Massachusetts. She died in 1949.
