Charles Morrill was the son of Joseph and Mary Cochran of Manchester (N.H.). He had a brother Henry in Lowell (Mass.), and sisters, Mrs. Amy Ayer, and Hannah. He married and had children. Charles ran a factory in Lowell in 1834. He moved to Paw Paw (Mich.) (1836), Antwerp (Mich.) (1845), and Clinch (Mich.) (1851). (Information from the collection.) Clinch Township existed from 1837 to 1842 and was then divided into Waverly and Almena townships. (Michigan Place Names).
