Celebration Lutheran Church (Puyallup, Wash.)
Peace Lutheran Church in downtown Puyallup had purchased some property with a view towards relocating. However, they voted not to build, and decided to give their building site to the national church for the establishment of a new congregation. The congregation was organized under the direction of Rev. George Larson in 1981 and was located in the burgeoning area where there is industrial expansion and population explosion. The congregation met in a school until 1985, when they completed their new sanctuary.
