Roberts, James E. (James Edwin), 1909-1978
Variant namesJames Edwin Roberts (b. 1909, Pettus, Tex.-d. Oct. 17, 1978) was Deputy for Personnel at Headquarters of the Tactical Air Command, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, starting May 15, 1960. He reached the rank of major general on August 9, 1957 and was appointed commander of the Air Proving Ground Center at Eglin Air Force Base on July 1, 1962. He retired from Air Force service on November 1, 1967.
