McNulty, James Madison.
Army surgeon.
Originally from New York, McNulty enlisted from California in Aug., 1861, as a surgeon in the 1st California Infantry and participated in the California Column's expedition to New Mexico. On Feb. 14, 1863, he became surgeon to the U.S. Volunteers and medical director of the Department of New Mexico.
