Pew, J. Howard (John Howard), 1948-

J. Howard Pew, II, was born in 1948 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to Joseph N. Pew, III, and Doris Myers Pew. He grew up in Gladwyne and attended schools in Haverford. He spent one year at the Shrewsbury School in England, three years at the University of Vermont, and took his bachelor's degree at the Pennsylvania State University. He went on to study wildlife biology at the University of Montana.
