John Biddle was a surveyor in Burlington County, New Jersey. John Munrow (fl. 1757-1770) was a land speculator who purchased large tracts in Burlington County from the Lords Proprietors in 1757. Munrow sold one such tract on the Batsto River to Charles Read (1715-1774), who started the Batsto Forge in 1766.
