Martin, William Augustus.

William Augustus Martin (1871-1955) came to Wyoming Territory circa 1887. He engaged in various employments, eventually becoming a guard at the Wyoming Penitentiary in Laramie. He met and married Birdie Gooding in Laramie in 1896. In 1899 they moved to Waverly, Nebraska. Martin wrote poetry and histories of Colorado and Wyoming.
