Woodburn Farm (Pendleton, S.C.)
Woodburn in Pendleton, S.C. was built by Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, Jr., about 1820. Other owners included David Taylor, 1850-1852; Rev. John Bailey Adger, D.D., 1852-1857; Joseph Ellison Adger, 1857-?; Augustus T. Smythe owned it from 1880-1908, and ran it as a stock farm. He raised Jersey cattle and Percheron horses. The property is now owned by the Foundation for Historic Restoration in the Pendleton Area and is on the National Register for Historic Places.
