Drake, John D.
Variant namesAt one time he was a slave trader. During the Revolution he was a lieutenant in the Provincial Marine in Lower Canada. After the close of the war he came to Detroit and entered the service of the North West Company, in command of the Beaver, which plied between Detroit, mackinac and Sault Ste. Marie.
