The Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education at North Carolina State University was established in 1984. CRMSE houses both a pre-college program and a research evaluation center within the North Carolina Mathematics and Science Education Network. CRMSE has formed partnerships with funding agencies to enhance mathematics and science education. Grants have been obtained from the National Science Foundation, U.S. Office of Education, the Ford Foundation, IBM, Glaxo-Smith-Kline Foundation, NC State Department of Public Instruction and location education agencies to incorporate technology and provide problem solving into the pre-K - 16 curriculum.
