Vandenberg, John Henry 1904-1992

John H. Vandenberg was sustained as Presiding Bishop of the Church on 30 September 1961, and was later called as Assistant to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on 6 April 1972. On 1 October 1976 Vandenberg was sustained as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, where he served until receiving General Authority Emeritus status on 31 December 1978.
