Arlitt, Ada Hart, 1890-
Variant namesAda Hart Arlitt, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, received her B.A. from Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University in 1913 and her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1917. In 1917, she took a position as an Associate Professor in Educational Psychology at Bryn Mawr. She held that position until 1923 when she became Chief Psychologist of the Mental Hygiene Clinic in Cincinnati. In 1925, she was appointed Professor and Head of the Department of Child Care and Training in the School of Household Administration and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Cincinnati.
