Walter Steiner earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degree at Yale University before attaining his M.D. at Johns Hopkins in 1898. He spent most of his career as a consulting physician to several hospitals in Connecticut. A member of the American Medical Association, Dr. Steiner was also interested in the history of medicine.
