Private First Class (PFC) Andrew B. White was inducted into the United States Army on 27 February 1943. He was first assigned to Company C, 106th Infantry Division, then to the 106th Reconnaissance Cavalry Troop. He attended communications school and participated in the Army Specialized Training Program (ASTP). When the ASTP ended in 1944, White was assigned to Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 264th Regiment, 66th Infantry Division. He was honorably discharged on 26 March 1946.
