Mrs. Jackson was born Sarah May Webster on 27 November 1863 to Aaron and Sarah (Yantis) Webster in Thurston County, WA. Aaron Webster crossed the plains by ox team from Mt. She met and married Charles Jackson (1860-1936) while she was teaching in 1885. They lived most of their lives in and around the Tenino area. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Daughters of the Pioneers and president of the Thurston County Pioneers Association until her health began to fail in the spring of 1943. She passed away on 23 December 1943. She is buried in the Tenino Forest Grove Cemetery, the land for which had been donated by her father.
