Garfield, Brian, 1939-....
Variant namesBrian Garfield (1939- ) is an author and screenwriter of suspense, mystery, and western stories, and historical non-fiction. Many of his novels have been made into movies, including the cult hit "Death Wish" and its sequels. Garfield was born in New York City and educated at the University of Arizona. He has written under multiple pseudonyms: Bennett Garland, Alex Hawk, John Ives, Drew Mallory, Frank O'Brian, Jonas Ward, Brian Wynne, Frank Wynne, and Brian Wynne Garfield.
