Lott, Vestel, 1907-1968
Vestel Lott (b. July 31, 1907, Tex.-d. 1968), joined the Department of State in 1946 as a news editor. He joined the International Broadcasting Division in 1949, as special assistant to the division chief. In 1951, he joined the Eastern European Affairs division as a special assistant. He then joined the Central Program Services Division in 1954, as the division chief.
