Dartmouth College. Foundation Year Program.
The Foundation Year Program at Dartmouth College provided access to higher education to young men whose high school records and economic backgrounds might have prevented them from attending college. These men, who were in their mid-twenties, came to Dartmouth College as special students for one academic year. At the end of the year they could apply for degree candidacy at Dartmouth College.
