Kansas Trust and Banking Company, Atchison, Kansas.
On March 13, 1893 Tufts was appointed receiver for the insolvent Kansas Trust and Banking Company. He moved to Atchison from Kansas City and attempted to bring about the company's recovery. After four years Tufts quit the receivership of the company. In the fall of 1897 he returned to Kansas City and fully resumed his real estate and mortgages brokerage affairs.
