Brown, Mary James.
A niece of Henry and William James, Mary James Brown married author William Slater Brown in 1950. They lived in Rockport, Mass., and Mary made frequent visits to Cambridge, Mass., where William Brown's sister Joyce lived with her husband, David Bailey, a Harvard administrator.
