Beckham-Wickliffe family.
Charles A. Wickliffe served as Kentucky governor from 1839 to 1840. His grandson, John Crepps Wickliffe Beckham, was sworn in as governor in 1900 at the death of assassinated Governor William Goebel, who had just been proclaimed the winner of the disputed election of 1899. Beckham served as governor until 1907.
