Leonard Green was born September 26, 1929 in Butler, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of St. Wendelin Grade School and Butler Area High School Class of 1947. Green attended numerous college and university courses and management programs and was an active member of the PI Kappa Phi fraternity. He served in the US Army Security Agency, 1954-1956, and was president of the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs. Green was also president of the Pennsylvania Forestry Association, 1980-1981, and member and chairman of the Citizen's Advisory Council, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, 1971-1995. Green served on numerous other environmental and civic organizations before his death in December 2000. Green's complete resume is located in the collection case file.
