Souther, Henry, 1810-
Henry Souther, of Cambridge, voyaged from Boston to California on the ship Richmond in 1849 with his son Henry, brother Frederick, and brother-in-law William E. Appleton. The group mined for gold on the Feather River in a company of men from Cambridge. Except for Henry Souther Jr. they all returned home in 1850 or 1851.
