LSU Foundation.

Hide Profile

The LSU Foundation was chartered in 1960 as a nonprofit, tax-exempt, private foundation comprised of leaders in business, professions, and civic affairs to foster private financial support for Louisiana State University and A&M College. The Foundation encourages and receives capital gifts and bequests for the University, manages most of the investments, and serves as trustee for most of the endowed funds and other private assets contributed for the benefit of the University. The Foundation's development program supports the activities of LSU academic units by attracting contributions for scholarships, professorships, endowed chairs, library resources, computers and laboratory equipment, research studies, works of art, musical instruments, construction and renovation of facilities, and many other purposes that cannot be financed entirely with state funds.
