Minister of the Reformed Church in America; born in Ivyland, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, July 17, 1843; prepared for college at Rutgers Preparatory School; was graduated from Rutgers College, 1869, and from the New Brunswick Theological Seminary, 1872; licensed by the Classis of Philadelphia and ordained by the North Classis of Long Island, 1872; served pastorates at Locust Valley, Long Island, 1872-1875, and Neshanic, New Jersey, 1875-1922; lived in retirement in New Jersey at New Brunswick, 1922-1927, Montclair, 1927-1932, and Upper Montclair, 1932-1936; died August 5, 1936.
