Virginia. Circuit Court (Shenandoah County)
Shenandoah County, Virginia, was formed from Frederick County in 1772 and originally bore the name Dunmore, for the royal governor, but this was changed in 1778. Warren County was formed from it. Located in the mountains, it adjoins Frederick County on the north, Warren and Page counties on the east, Rockingham County on the south, and West Virginia on the west. The county seat is Woodstock.
