Galland, David.
David Galland was a member of the Iowa's first constitutional convention held in 1846 in Iowa City. His brother Isaac Galland was an early Iowa settler, known for his promotion of settlement in Iowa. He published Galland's Iowa Emigrant, a brochure written to attract settlers to Iowa. Isaac was also involved in some questionable activities including counterfeiting and land speculation.
