Burrell, Warren P.,
Burrell joined Engineering Research Associates (ERA) as an engineer, working in computer development in 1948. In 1952 Remington Rand purchased ERA amd it became the Remington Rand Engineering Research Associates Division. Sperry Corporation and Remington Rand merged in 1955 to form the Sperry Rand Corporation. After the merger the computer development portion of the company became Remington Rand UNIVAC, a Division of Sperry Rand.
