Butler, Edmae Delpit,
Edmae Delpit Butler (née LaMotte) was a native of Lobdell, La., who graduated from McKinley High School in Baton Rouge, La., in 1932. She later graduated from Southern University and Louisiana State University. She taught mathematics at McKinley High School for 16 years. Her husband was Thomas Delpit and her son, Joseph Delpit, is a former Louisiana state representative.
