Harold Wade, Jr. graduated from Amherst College (A.B., 1968) and Harvard Law School (LL. B., 1972). He was an active student at Amherst College and helped write the booklet: The Amherst black student. After graduating from Harvard he held various positions in the government of the City of New York. At the time of his death he was assistant to the depuy mayor Paul Gibson, Jr. Wade died in a drowning accident in Barbados, June 19, 1974.
