Washburn, G. T. (George Thomas), 1832-1927.
George Washburn was born in 1832 in Lenox, Mass. After graduating from Williams College in 1855, Washburn and his wife, Eliza (Case), served as missionaries in Madura Presidency, India, from 1860 to 1900. Washburn established mission schools, ran a newspaper, and served as President of Pasumalai College. He died in 1927 in the United States.
