William Todd (official first name of Andrew) was a member of John Batman's first party. He was responsible for drawing up the document for the sale of land between Batman and the Port Phillip Aborigines. He also recorded in his diaries seeing William Buckley, "the wild white man", who had lived with Aboriginal Australians for many years.
