Westwood A. Todd (1831-1886) was a native of Smithfield, Va., and lived in Norfolk, Va., before and after the Civil War. Todd served as a private in the 12th Virginia Infantry from his enlistment in 1861. In late July 1863 he was detailed to assist Lieutenant Dick Walke, Mahone's ordnance officer, and in early 1864 became himself an ordnance officer, serving until his capture at Sailor's Creek, 6 April 1865.
