Tri-University Consortium.
The Tri-University Consortium was founded in 1972 "to help achieve a stubstantial increase in non-traditional agricultural exports as a base for overall Uruguayan economic expansion." The three universities involved were: Penn State University, Michigan State University, and Texas A & M University.
