Faulkner, William L., d. 1864.
Native of Craigsville, Lancaster District, S.C.; husband of Issa "Lizzy" Craig Faulkner; father of young daughter, "Sis," and infant son, "Buddy." Faulkner and his brother-in-law, W.H. Craig, served in Company I, 17th Regiment, South Carolina Volunteers, the "Lancaster Tigers"; captured at Petersburg, Va., July 1864; died, 17 Sept. 1864, at prisoner-of-war camp in Elmira, N.Y.
