Established in 1884 at a meeting of the Board of Trade. Incorporated as Denver Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade. In 1916 became Denver Civic and Commercial Association. Name changed to Denver Chamber of Commerce in 1924. Objectives of the Chamber are to represent and promote the business community, develop, improve and serve businesses and to sponsor and encourage activities which improve the overall economical and social well being of the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area.
