Pettibone, John Owen, 1787-1876
Variant namesJohn Samuel Pettibone was born on May 18, 1786 in Manchester, Vermont, the son of Samuel and Rhoda (Bridgeman) Pettibone. He married Laura Graves of Rupert, Vermont on August 28, 1814. John S. Pettibone served in various offices including town representative, assistant judge, and probate judge. He also served on the Council of Safety. He died May 24, 1872.
