The ship was at Wellington, New Zealand on 15 January 1857, sailed toward Hong Kong, 17 January 1857, whaled from there to Sandwich Islands, October 1857, in Hong Kong again February 1858, back to Sea of Ochotsk and the Sandwich Islands again in October 1858 and "towards home" in December 1858. Off Cape Horn 8 February 1859. Last entry 8 May 1859. The ship's captain was A.S. Cory; the writer of this logbook is thought to be Charles H. Porter.
