Higgins, Adam C., b. 1827.
Adam C. Higgins, native of Virginia, moved to Monmouth, Ill., before the Civil War. In Aug. 1862 he became chaplain of in the 83rd Regiment of Illinois Infantry, with the rank of Captain. After he was discharged from the service in 1865, he returned to ministry. In 1896 he practices law in Chicago, Ill.
