Farquharson, A. S., approximately 1842-
Variant namesPioneer businessman; b. in Boston, Mass.; attended Andover College but left school to join Boston Light Infantry in 1862; in 1872 went to California and in 1875 to Washington Territory where he settled in Tacoma; invested in a barrel manufacturing operation at Puyallup and was, for many years, a staunch booster of that community.
