Blackford Family.
The Blackford family lived in Lynchburg, Virginia. Captain C.M. Blackford was a lawyer. His wife was Susan Leigh Colston, the daughter of Thomas Colston. Their son was Dr. C.M. Blackford, Jr. (he died in 1924). Susan published her memoirs of the Civil War, entitled Memoirs of Life In and Out of the Army in Virginia.
