Barnes, Bert B. (Bert Burnis), 1899-1994
Bert B. Barnes (1899-1994) was born in Tennessee. He started his postal career in 1920, and later assisted in the reestablishment of the German postal service from 1946 to 1947. He became the first Deputy Assistant Postmaster General in 1957.
