On March 9, 1947 eighty people gathered, along with a 25-member choir from Immanuel Lutheran, Boise, to hold its first public worship service. The following November the new church, Trinity Lutheran, was organized with 84 adults and children signing the charter. The service was held in the Moose Hall in Nampa. In 1949 the congregation began meeting at the Nampa Labor Temple, and in October of 1951 they purchased and renovated a building for a sanctuary. In December of 1955 Trinity sponsored Faith Lutheran Church in Caldwell. In 1967 Trinity purchased its present site and building plans began. The education unit, offices, kitchen, and restrooms were built first. Part of the education unit was used as a sanctuary until the permanent sanctuary was built in 1982, thirteen years after the first unit was dedicated. Over 300 people helped celebrate the completion of the final structure. Two members of the congregation have gone into the ordained ministry.
