Atkinson, Haserick & Company.

The company, located in Boston and Framingham, Mass., was a broker for worsted and cotton machinery and both wool and Egyptian cotton. It succeeded a firm known as Edwards and Stoddard, importers of silks, ribbons, and fabrics especially of French origin. By 1880, it was known as Stoddard, Lovering & Co. and had an office in Bradford, England; it was the sole agent for Prince, Smith and Son, Keighley, England, manufacturers of worsted machinery, and Dobson and Barlow Ltd., Bolton, England, manufacturers of cotton machinery.

In 1890, the firm added Societe Alsacienne de Constructions Mecaniques, makers of worsted machinery, as its client. It also began importing Egyptian cotton through the firm of Carver Brothers and Co. Ltd. The firm's name changed in 1895 to Stoddard, Haserick, Richards & Co.; in 1908 to Richards, Atkinson & Haserick; and in 1912 to Atkinson, Haserick & Co.
