DeCuir, Wilhemenia Williams, 1937-
Wilhemenia Williams DeCuir was the daughter of Rev. Freddie Williams, a Baptist minister in Port Allen, La. She spent her childhood visiting the four churches he oversaw in East and West Baton Rouge Parishes and East Feliciana Parish and witnessing his community activism. She holds a master's degree in English from Southern University and did further study in library science at Louisiana State University. She has worked as a librarian at Port Allen High School for four decades.
