Rogers, Elizabeth Slater, 1865-1918
Elizabeth Slater was born on February 16, 1865. She received her A.B. and A.M. from Wellesley in 1888 and 1894, respectively. She was a professor of Greek at Mount Holyoke College from 1892-1896. In June of 1896 she married George Benjamin Rogers, a graduate of Williams College. They moved to Exeter, New Hampshire, where Mr. Rogers taught at an Academy. They had two daughters, Constance and Katherine. Constance Rogers graduated from Wellesley in 1919. Elizabeth Slater Rogers died on July 6, 1918 in Exeter, New Hampshire.
