Rodríguez Méndez, José María.
José María Rodríguez Méndez, one of contemporary Spain's leading playwrights, is the author of a series of dramatic chronicles that show the history of Spain from the viewpoint of the common people. He won the 1964 Larra Award for his play, Los inocentes de la Moncloa. R. Méndez has published award-winning fiction, both novel and short story, and several books of essays.
