Mason A. Perkins kept these two volumes working as a cabintemaker in Ticonderoga, NY.
The first contains three inscriptions relating to the history of the records. One inscription is a title page reading "Day Book ? Mason A. Perkins ? under the Firm of Wm. Fitch ? For the Cabinet Business." Facing that page is the notation "This day dissolved partnership by mutual Consent; Ti Feb 4, 1839." On the front flyleaf is "Wm. Fitch Commenced work Feb. 5, 1839 at the Cabinet business for me at $25 per month -- M.A.P."
